Elena S.V. Palomo is a Finnish-Spanish sculptor and ceramic artist whose work bridges organic forms with raw, tactile textures. Based between Helsinki and Barcelona, she crafts abstract ceramic sculptures that explore movement, harmony, and tension, often drawing inspiration from nature and the human body. At the start of 2025 I had the pleasure of documenting her creative process, revealing the deep connection between her hands-on craftsmanship and the material’s transformation.
At the start of 2025, I visited her studio to document a quiet kind of transformation. A dialogue between artist and material—through rhythm, texture, and trust.
“The Process”
I sat down with Elena, as she talked me through her creative process.
“THE CONVERSATION”
‘Each sculpture feels like a conversation between me and the material, and that sense of creating something meaningful is what I love most about my work.’
